What is the minumum requirement to get venture capital?

Do I really have to incorporate my business or will it work if I open a business checking account?

I’m a at home mom, my kids are still pretty young (their ages are 8,5,3). I am educated (Master’s in clinical psychology) and I plan to go back to work (as a teacher) as soon as the youngest goes off to school. My husband and I streched and streched but ends just aren’t meeting. I’m not looking to make a million dollars this year, or $20,000 my first week — I just really need to supplement our income with at least an additional $2000-$3000 per month.

I got contacted by one of those companies that says I’ve got $10k in unclaimed stocks coming to me and they can help me get it which I find kinda sleazy. This apparently didn’t make it into the will since I’ve already received my inheritance from the trustee. How do I locate that money without paying those people 25% of what’s rightfully mine?
And I haven’t been able to locate it thru the state controller’s unclaimed property site either.

When doing online updates from my Smith Barney investment account, Microsoft Money incorrectly matches a investment (eg ishares Brazil is read as ishares Europe and entered into Money register). I tried deleting the account in MS Money and reloading, deleting the ishares Brazil & ishares Europe investment. Nothing works….

I have student loan debt with pretty low interest rates (5% and 3% respectively). Is it better to put extra money toward paying off the student loans quicker or putting that extra money into an IRA and/or good mutual funds which would ideally earn a higher interest rates than the loans?
