Great question!
What it seems to me that you are asking us is to help you be your own money manager during an upcoming and specific market cycle.
I question whether anyone answering on this site has the machinery or capability to give you the answers you seek.
My best suggestion would be to invest in a well managed and diversified portfolio of mutual funds.
Allow the fund managers to do their thing to get their portfolios through the next cycle.
Actually your real best bet would be to continue to allow your fund managers to do their thing though all the market cycles to come forever and ever and ever.

Find a good fund. make sure your fees are not high. You can’t trust a lot of the fund manager out there. Lots of people invest in funds with little gain after years or even decades.
Try an index fund. If that does bad then everyone else is doing bad too.
Watch out for the corrupt financial people. I mean that.
