Just 2 things:
Alot of those people working so hard in your Garden City are democrats. (I don’t think San Jose has been a tiny little farm town in decades, btw)
and it IS being affected by the current economic situation. Many in your area have lost their jobs or small businesses. EBay has also had how many lay offs in the last 6 months? 3, I think.
